                        My Heritage                                        

My heritage is from the Dominican Republic. My dad was born in the Dominican Republic and so is his mom and dad. My mom was born in the United State but her mom and dad were born in the Dominican Republic. I was born in the U.S.A but I grew up there.

My family has a really big tradition. That tradition is that every year we gather up for thanksgiving and Christmas to celebrate and see each other. We all bring food.

On thanksgiving my aunt makes a cake a bring it to eat and we also pray. On Christmas my uncle makes lots of food. For example my uncle makes pastelitos, pork, rice, salad and much more. The main speaking language is Spanish. The main dance in the Dominican Republic is merengue and bachata.
